Cookies are one of the easiest desserts to make and everyone loves them. Whether they’re chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, or just plain and simple sugar, cookies are loved by all.

Recently we’ve noticing people are experimenting with putting matcha in their cookie mixes and creating bold new flavours, giving a twist to this all time classic dessert. Jenni’s gorgeous cookies recipe is inspired by two different cookies recipes:Matcha Cookies andEarl Grey Tea Cookies.

She combined the two to create something new, cookies flavored with both Matcha and Earl Grey tea - a delightful combo in just one bite!

Matcha + Earl Grey Tea Cookies

Yield: about 70 cookies

Ingredients

Matcha Cookies

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ⅝ cup caster sugar
  • ½ egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¼  tsp baking powder

Earl Grey Cookies

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 ¼ cup flour
  • 2 Earl Grey teabags

Method

Matcha Cookies

  1. Cream butter and sugar until smooth
  2. Mix in the beaten egg well
  3. Sift flour and matcha powder together
  4. Mix gently the flour mixture to the wet mixture until it is doughy
  5. Refrigerate the dough for about 30 mins

Earl Grey Cookies

  1. Cream the butter and sugar till fluffy
  2. Mix in the flour and the tea until dough comes together
  3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 30 mins.

Shaping Cookies

  1. Roll both doughs into ½ cm thick balls
  2. To mix the two flavours in one cookie, press 2 equal-sized balls of the 2 doughs together
  3. Shape the balls into the characters or shape with cutter or by hand
  4. Use toothpick to draw the features for the characters
  5. Place them on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  6. Bake them at 175oC in a convectional oven for 8-10 mins

NOTES: For the Earl Grey cookies, the dough can be stone hard after refrigerating for 20 mins. It’ll soften really quickly after leaving the dough out for a few minutes.

Cookies mixed flavors of Matcha Green Tea & Earl Grey's Tea are the nice combo of flavors in just one bite!

Hope you enjoy this recipe!

the matcha is a realy nice product. we us it almost daily. the order process is fine and deliver is good.one issue would be your associatation with SHOP i do not like this company as well as other third party companys that want to save your credit info.

Poor

I needed to contact customer service. E-mail did not exist.

NO CONTACT

I saw you sell on Amazon for less money. I tried to contact you and the e-mail was invalid. I tried e-mailing for days and the response was always the same.....invalid e-mail. does not exist. The only contact number on your website was Australia. Then I see this matcha was shipped from an Amazon facility in Kentucky - but I did not get the Amazon price! ???. I tried to file a claim with my financial institution - what a headache. I can’t rate a product that has no customer service contact. So frustrating!

Bought organic & ceremonial

I have had better matcha expected a mind blowing yummy & mind focus matcha, not so much ⭐️one star only

Ceremonial grand and the organic .

I have had a sweeter more matcha flavor in other matcha so that just tells me not all matcha are equal I give it 2 stars. I really want to love it but not as good as PIQUE brand
