Homemade matcha pancakes served with fruits and topped with kinako

Some people don’t like Mondays – but with Matcha Green Tea Pancakes to start the week with, who could complain?!

This delicious homemade recipe is brought to us at Kenko Tea by the super talented Carmen Chan from @cahmun.

Carmen Chan is a nutrition student from Vancouver who loves to document the delicious things she eats and how she creates them on her instagram,Cahmun.

Now, just because Carmen’s Matcha Green Tea Pancakes are easy to make, that doesn’t mean they’re like the fast food versions we know – it’s all sugar-free, with sweetness coming from natural honey. You can top your pancake stack with condensed milk if you like, or just cover it with fresh fruits like mangoes and peaches, which pair very well with the matcha green tea flavour.

The Kinako powder that is used for the topping is simply roasted soybean flour, a popular culinary ingredient from Japan. It’s mostly used in rice cakes like mochi and similar desserts, with a nutty taste that’s very distinctive. Kinako is gluten free and full of vitamin B and protein.

If you can’t find it in the stores, check out this link for how to make your own Kinako - it’s a great alternative to wheat flour.

Now, let’s get the week started right with Carmen Chan’s delicious Matcha Green Tea Pancakes:

the matcha is a realy nice product. we us it almost daily. the order process is fine and deliver is good.one issue would be your associatation with SHOP i do not like this company as well as other third party companys that want to save your credit info.

Poor

I needed to contact customer service. E-mail did not exist.

NO CONTACT

I saw you sell on Amazon for less money. I tried to contact you and the e-mail was invalid. I tried e-mailing for days and the response was always the same.....invalid e-mail. does not exist. The only contact number on your website was Australia. Then I see this matcha was shipped from an Amazon facility in Kentucky - but I did not get the Amazon price! ???. I tried to file a claim with my financial institution - what a headache. I can’t rate a product that has no customer service contact. So frustrating!

Bought organic & ceremonial

I have had better matcha expected a mind blowing yummy & mind focus matcha, not so much ⭐️one star only

Ceremonial grand and the organic .

I have had a sweeter more matcha flavor in other matcha so that just tells me not all matcha are equal I give it 2 stars. I really want to love it but not as good as PIQUE brand
