Mini and portable energy protein balls are the perfect snack to fuel you on the go. They are packed with enough protein, carbs and fats to replenish your body’s energy after a long workout session, work meeting or sleepless night with your baby.
With this in mind, we are happy to show off our new recipe of the week here at Kenko Tea. Let’s welcome Lisa Weidenbach, aka@creatingpositivity, and her deliciousMatcha Cacao & Coconut Protein Balls.
Lisa is a reiki master and holistic coach who discovered the innate ability to heal her body from bipolar disorder in 2011. This ignited a passion to teach others how to tune into what their body needs, enabling them to reach their full potential.
Lisa expands her knowledge and connection through cooking nutritious foods and personal daily practices, while teaching cooking classes, meditation workshops and reiki. Working in the field of holistic education and practicing reiki for 20 years has taught Lisa, in her own words, to ‘live an authentic life’.
Lisa’s intuitive holistic coaching business,Creating Positivity, was built on her desire to help others discover their true essence, while creating balance, harmony and fulfillment. Lisa says she focuses on the whole person, believing that a healthy body opens the pathway for a clear mind and unlimited spiritual growth. Lisa’s Raw Matcha Protein Balls recipe is extremely easy to make. And once you have these little bursts of protein at hand, you’ll discover they are not only delectable with their raw and earthy taste of cacao and matcha green tea, but also are healthy. Put simply, this recipe is packed full of a great amount of antioxidants that you probably miss out on from your daily meals.
These protein balls don’t require any kind of cooking, saving you time for whatever you need to do throughout the day. Plus, they are super convenient to carry to work, school, the gym, or simply for storing for later.
Raw Cacao Coconut Matcha Protein Balls
Ingredients
Bliss Balls
- 1 cup almonds
- 12 pitted dates
- 1 tbs pepita seeds
- 1 tbs matcha powder
- 3 tbs raw cacao
- 4 tbs chocolate protein powder
Coating
- 3 tbs organic coconut flakes
- 1 tsp matcha powder, for coating the protein balls
Instruction
- In a blender, blend all the Bliss Balls’ ingredients until combined
- Roll the mixture into compact balls with slightly damp hands
- To coat, mix the coconut flakes and matcha powder together until incorporated
- Coat the balls with the mixture
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving
