To tie matcha with chocolate once again, we have another awesome recipe for you to enjoy: Matcha Green Tea Chocolate by the fabulous Vy from@kieuvyle
Vy is 25-years old, from Vietnam, and currently a computer science student at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California. In her spare time, she loves to cook, create artworks and work on DIY projects. She is also a big fan of matcha green tea and her favorite brand is Kenko!
Being a college student, she used to drink energy drinks everyday to keep her awake at school. Then she learnt about the health benefits of matcha and made the switch from energy drinks to green powder.

This Matcha Green Tea Chocolate recipe was inspired by Namiko Chen. Vy has used and adapted the recipe fromNamiko’s Youtube channel as her reference to these lovely matcha chocolates.
Both matcha and chocolate are known for their ability to relieve stress and boost your mood. So whenever you feel like you’re under the pump, whip up these green chocolates and relax.
Matcha Green Tea Nama Chocolate
Ingredients
- 400g (14 oz) white chocolate*
- 125ml (½ cup) heavy whipping cream
- 25g (2 tbsp) butter
- 2 tbsp + 2 tsp Kenko matcha powder
- 8 x 8 inch baking pan
*You can buy any white chocolate brand you like. We bought the chopped one from Nestle that helps to cut down on time.
Method
- Chop the white chocolate into small pieces
- Line a baking pan with parchment paper
- Bring whipping cream almost to a boil
- Mix in the chopped chocolate + butter
- Sift in the matcha powder, mixing until combined
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan
- Let it cool, and then refrigerate for 4-5 hours
- Run your knife under hot water, then wipe it dry
- Cut the matcha chocolate into desired sizes.
- Dust with green tea powder as a garnish.
